Growing up is quite a challenge, and let me tell you, it does not end at age 18. I am here to share all my secrets to growing up…after becoming an adult. Between personal life lessons, “Life Hacks”, “How To’s”, and unique “DIY’s”, this is your top source.
My name is Kaitlyn Marie Lamkin. Most people these days call me Kiki, and out of all the nicknames I survived growing up…Kiki wins. At Shepherd University, I earned my Bachelor of Science In Communication and New Media with a Strategic Communication Concentration and a Marketing minor. During my time at Shepherd University, I trained in Social Media marketing, Editing and Graphic Design, as well as Event Planning.
In the Fall of 2016, I became a member of the Shepherd University Program Board: A group of student leaders who create programming to educate, engage, and entertain students. During my first semester with Program Board, I was involved in planning and executing several events on campus. After my first semester, I was promoted to Marketing Chair where I spent the next three semesters planning, creating, and executing content for the organizations social media platforms. I also oversaw all other marketing efforts of the board by working directly with the graphic designers and programmers to create and execute the appropriate marketing for each campus event. My time with Program Board taught me that I have a great passion for social media marketing and event planning.
In addition to Strategic Communication, I have been studying the performing arts for 8 years and have performed in several theater productions in the local area.
